Weight protein*optimum nutrition whey protein* to build muscle as well as lose weight?

If your already a little fat but you want to build muscle aswell as lose fat is it a good idea to have whey protein before your workout and in the morning? My biggest concern is losing weight but I also wish to be as strong as possible…

Eat the whey protein after your workout. I have been doing the crossfit workouts and they have shredded my body big time (removed my body fat). They are pretty tough, but the results are quick!

give them a try and see what you think. I usually do the WOD's

Also to tone muscle, make sure you are getting plenty of protein to aid in recovery and building of new muscle tissue

would you like me to create a nutrition plan for you to help you lose weight, or gain muscle?

I am a certified personal trainer with 24 hour fitness. I have 3 certifications NASM cpt, NASM pes, 24 hour fitness and APEX for nutrition and supplements, and I have a black belt in karate.

Yes, I am in my 40s and have found that it cannot loose the weight. Just when I think I am on a down scale, I gain 3 or more lbs back. It is hard to not give up. Right now I am taking belly dancing classes and practice at home daily for 45 minutes, I work out on a stability ball (which I love every morning) for 30 minutes and I try to eat several small healthy low fat, low carb meals. I find that pasta is my enemy, even the whole grain or wheat pastas. Rice and small amounts of potatoes are not as bad, but still not the best.
What do you suggest?

What is the proper nutrition and diet I should go on to "tone up" not "lose weight"?

I am 14, I am not really harsh to my self about my body, I love myself, But I have been wanting to tone up for a while now, tone up but not lose weight, I have a gym and fruits and vegies, everything, but what diet should I be going on?
What nutrition should I be getitng??

At age 14 I don't think you need to be too picky yet about your diet. You're body is going through many changes that requires good nutrition. I think it's a good idea to eat as much fruit & vegetables as you can, but don't cut out dairy & whole grains. Start drinking skim milk if you can, eat yogurt, & eat whole wheat toast. Also, if you're already out of that "fruit loop, cocoa puff" stage then I suggest eating Special K cereal. I especially like the fruit & yogurt flavor. Try it you'll like it :) And don't cut out lean protein either, eat plenty of chicken, tuna, & healthy cooked fish. You might want to check with your parents first before starting your diet, because they may not be in tune with your new found diet plan. Maybe you can integrate (introduce) healthy eating habits among your family.
Exercise is a good way to tone up your body. Have you ever thought about gymnastics? I know at that age I was well into gymnastics & it definitely helped my physique. You can also jump rope, that is a very good work out & easy too. You can maybe even buy one of those mini trampolines, same kinda workout. But it works, trust me! You're smart to start taking care of your body now. I hope this helped, good luck!
